Office Design Trends to Look Out For in 2023
Nina Patel • Dec 05, 2022

With 2022 showcasing the new normal for hybrid working spaces, there are certain design trends that won’t go anywhere anytime soon. However, we’ve seen some interesting new concepts emerge that will most likely dominate in 2023. Here are our predictions:

Vintage Decor

With sustainability becoming a core business value for many, lots of companies are leaning towards reusing and recycling office furniture to reduce their carbon footprints. This cuts down on emissions and furnishing costs, allowing businesses to reassign their budget to other areas of the design process.

This is something we have experience with at Glenside, as we’ve integrated recycled materials into different workplace designs. You can find out more about it

Bold Colours & Maximalism

Striking feature walls and overlapping patterns are on the rise in office design, as they do well to communicate a company’s personality whilst making an interesting statement.

Not only that, but bold colours–when used correctly–are also proven to help spark energy and creativity, making these an innovative element to add to your workplace design.

Biophilia

Biophilic design brings natural elements into interior design–and has only grown in popularity over the last year, so it won’t be leaving anytime soon.

This is revered for its many benefits, from boosting mood and productivity to reducing stress and anxiety–all of which help to improve employee wellbeing.

Noise Cancelling Booths

After remote working has become part of most professional cultures, the demand for noise cancelling booths and private rooms in offices has risen.

This is because most open office spaces aren’t hospitable for those in virtual meetings, so providing a space for these to take place is an ideal solution–whilst also allowing for added privacy.

We have delivered spaces like these for many different workplaces, providing them with environments to support
agile & hybrid working.

So, there you have our design trend predictions for 2023. Some have been re-emerging as older trends make a comeback, while others remain firm favourites in office design from 2022.
