Commercial Interiors and Refurbishment Services, Slough, Berkshire

Slough is home to Europe’s largest trading estate under single ownership and to some big business names – Mars, Telefonica, Ferrari, O² - all of which are at the forefront of their respective industries. They are a million miles away from Wernham and Hogg, the paper manufacturing company much derided in The Office. David Brent and Slough have now long since parted company (thankfully).

Slough

The future is now looking much brighter for Slough as the town is set to benefit from even greater connectivity to London and beyond thanks to the Crossrail project, adding to the existing very fast services already provided by Great Western Railway.

Other transport links are exceptional – Heathrow is just a short, 10 mile drive away, the M4, 1.5 miles away, the M40, 5 miles and the M25, 6 miles – which means that London, the South East, the South West, the Midlands and the rest of the world are all well within reach.

Companies based on the Slough Trading Estate enjoy the support of a like-minded community of successful brands across a wide range of business sectors. Approximately 2.6 million people live within an hour’s drive of Slough so companies are able to draw upon a ready pool of talent.

Other locational benefits

Glenside Commercial Interiors is based in the town of Reading, so it is well located for carrying out commercial interior design and fit out projects in Slough, which is just over 20 miles distant via an excellent road network.

We have done a lot of assignments for companies in the Slough area to enhance their workplace facilities. Having worked in Slough with many well-known businesses from a wide variety of sector, we understand how different local companies from different sectors operate. This means that we are able to deliver working environments that reflect their brands, their business personalities and showcase their achievements and ethos.

Glenside worked innovatively to maximise the space for one such client in Slough when extra office capacity was created by designing and constructing a mezzanine floor above a factory area. An extremely tight 12 week office and factory fit-out was delivered on time to allow our client to move in on schedule but without compromising on our high standards of build and finish.
